What is RAG and how does it work?
RAG stands for Retrieval-Augmented Generation and works in three steps. Retrieve: Finds the most relevant passages in your documents. Augment: Gives those passages to the AI as its only source of truth. Generate: Writes a clear answer and shows exactly where it came from.
What is RAG, in simple words?
RAG stands for Retrieval-Augmented Generation. Before the AI answers, it first looks up the most relevant parts of your own documents, and then writes the answer using only that information. It's like giving the AI an open-book exam with your business's book.
How is this different from ChatGPT?
ChatGPT answers from general internet knowledge and can guess when it isn't sure. A RAG assistant answers from your approved content only, shows the source for every answer, and hands the conversation to your team when the answer isn't in your content.
What happens if the AI doesn't know the answer?
It says so honestly and offers to connect the customer with your team — on WhatsApp, email or your CRM. It won't make up an answer.
